Happy Pride gays, theys, and babes! For this session, we had the honor of photographing two of our favorite clients (and friends!), Abigail (she/her) and Chrissy (she/they). We met this wonderful couple because our moms, who were teachers together, are best friends! When the moms realized they both had queer kids, it was an instant requirement that we all meet up and hang-out. Naturally, we became close and have been able to support each other as queers living in the ‘burbs.
Previously, we had photographed this couple for their engagement at Half-Priced Books in Frisco, but for this session we brought them into the studio. We wanted to give each of them a mix of professional, solo photos as well as couple photos, but the entire session was set up to be a PRIDE session. We used our flags and some of their props to make a magical, gay atmosphere. With Chappell Roan and Xana playing in the background, we were able to party and snap away.
What we love about portrait photography is that we can make the session full of fun and celebration. We also do our best to ensure our clients favorite features are highlighted! That doesn’t mean that we do extensive photoshopping to make people look slimmer or fix their smile. Instead, we honor the beauty of each body that steps in front of the camera.
Thank you so much Chrissy and Abigail for trusting us with your Pride portraits! Stay tuned for the next session with them where we will capture some newlywed photos.
