Wylie Senior Graduation Photos: Grace
| Photos by Adeline

This Wylie High senior showed off her individuality at Prairie Creek Park in Richardson, Texas. We felt extra pressure with this session because Grace is a photographer, too!

Adeline first met Grace at a Full Time Creatives Meetup in Plano. At the event, Adeline and Grace were networking and finding out about different photography styles while I chatted up Grace’s dad over pizza. Grace’s dad explained that he wanted to support his daughter in pursuing her passion, much like I was supporting Adeline. When we realized Grace was a senior, we immediately asked if we could be her photographer.

When it came time to choose the location, Grace knew that she wanted some natural backgrounds. We were given a challenging task: find a nice nature spot with water. To be fair, it’s not that hard to find a man-made lake or pond in the North Texas area, but Grace wanted something different. Even though you wouldn’t expect it, Prairie Creek Park has a beautiful waterfall!

The waterfall is dependent on rain and, the night previously, we had a downpour. Luckily, this made the background perfect for Grace’s photos. Now that the location was sorted, all that was left was for Grace to arrive!

When booking, Grace decided on our Classic Collection so that she could wear multiple outfits. We hadn’t purchased our changing tent yet, so we didn’t know how Grace was going to comfortably change into her dress. We didn’t need to worry though, since this innovative senior wore her dress UNDERNEATH her jeans and shirt! After she finished her first series of photos she did a quick shimmy and shake and was ready for the next part of her shoot!

We loved that Grace incorporated so many high school mementos, such as her senior jacket (she lettered in archery!), her senior ring, and her hand-bedazzled cap (AHMO is a Wylie thing!). All of these small details made a big impact in showcasing Grace’s love for her alma mater. We can’t wait to see Grace and all that she accomplishes in the future!
