Fort Worth University Graduation Photos: Dr. Chidie
| Photos by Adeline

We were so honored to photograph this doctor of pharmacy at his alma mater (University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth) because people like him literally keep us alive! Without our antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds, both of us would be way less equipped to handle the daily stressors of running our small business. Bonus, this pharmacist is a POC (um, only 4.9% of pharmacists are Black so he’s a special one!), and he was serving looks the entire session.

To be honest, the session got off to a rocky start. When we arrived at the session, we needed to use the restroom SO badly! We had driven over an hour from our home in Allen, and we weren’t familiar with the area. Thankfully, Adeline chatted up some students and we found the perfect restroom on campus. #thankyoustudents As photographers, we always do our best to scout our locations for bathrooms, but sometimes they just don’t exist. One of our best purchases has a been a pop-up changing tent for when a second outfit is necessary but there’s isn’t a suitable bathroom for changing.

When Chidie arrived he showed us his fresh cut; he looked so good! It’s so important to show up to a session looking and feeling your best, as that will help you exude confidence. And exude he did!

We started with some basic shots of Chidie on the stairs. He explained to us that the campus kept 👏🏾 students 👏🏾 fit 👏🏾! And it was definitely giving us our workout! We captured some lovely pictures of him in the golden hour before moving on to his full regalia shots.

This doctor has it all: cap, the gown, the pharmacist fraternity! And make sure you peep the customization on his stole. He was so playful throughout the session and enjoyed jamming to Taylor Swift with us. We couldn’t believe our luck in being chosen to document his outstanding accomplishment.

Towards the end of the session we finally asked: why are you a pharmacist? He explained that learning all about his family members’ medications as a child inspired him to learn more and become a pharmacist! This is why we love doing graduate sessions: we get to learn all about what helped shaped these amazing people into who they are. We hope you love these photos as much as we do!

Congratulations, Dr. Chidie!
