We were so lucky to be booked to capture the memories of not only ONE birthday, but THREE as this family celebrated their lucky year! The matriarch, Melissa, reached out to us via Bark.com to inquire about our services, and when she found out we were a woman-owned team, she decided to book us!
Did you know that women are only 40% of the full-time photography workforce? Whenever we go to photography meet-ups or businesses, it is typically male-dominated. As a two-person full-time photography team, we’re working hard to show that women can be professional photographers, too. We were so glad to be hired by such an awesome business LADY!
Okay, I’m off my soapbox. As mentioned, this was a triple birthday bash, which means we needed to not only satisfy Melissa’s photography needs, but also her two adult children! That means that prior to the party really kicking off, we quickly chatted with the other celebrators to ensure that we followed their requests for the photos. After all, we want everyone to love the gallery!
This event was full of fun foods (Shake Shack??) and games (pickleball tourney!). We love using our candid style of photography to capture all of those quick moments full of joy and celebration. At the end of the night, we celebrated with some sparklers and a quick group photo. Overall, it was a joy to celebrate with Melissa and her family!
