Queer - Kind - Documentary - Photographer

Hey there! I’m Adeline, a queer photographer, the soul behind the camera, and I’m excited to share the incredible journey that brought me here – a journey shaped by the bustling streets of South Africa, the quaint charm of the South Korean countryside, and a love for photography that knows no bounds.

In 2016 I took my first photo – it was a picture of my aunt’s dog. His nose was in focus and the rest was a blurry mess. I was so proud of that photo, that I knew something big was waiting for me. But life threw a “just kidding” at me and I gave up on photography for a few years. Luckily, technology helped me to stay in touch with my passion of capturing special moments with my phone camera.

A little film camera changed it all for me. In 2018 I dove back into the world of photography.  I began taking as many pictures as I could…eventually leading me to be published in a travel magazine! I knew that I should follow my heart and build a space where I can be behind the camera every day. With the support of my wife and some luck, one thing lead to where you are here reading my about page – this is a dream come true.

Having lived on four continents—Africa, Australia, Asia, and North America—I proudly embrace the diversity that shapes us into who we are.

As I journeyed through different places and phases of life, my camera became not just a tool but a companion.

Each click was a conversation, each frame a chapter in the visual novel of my experiences. And now I can’t wait to capture memories with you! It all starts with a virtual coffee date where we get to know one another. Conversations turn into friendships and I would love to be your friend, even better your friend behind the camera.

My journey into photography was profoundly influenced by my own love story.

My wife and I chose a small elopement in San Francisco surrounded by love from her parents and siblings with their partners.

Unfortunately, my family couldn’t make it due to the pandemic since traveling from South Africa was nearly impossible. Because my family couldn’t be present on my special day, we prioritized photography as our highest investment.

In every glance back at our photos or every six months rewatching our ceremony video, we are reminded of the magic captured. Grateful for our supportive family and the incredible artists who documented our day, I’ve made it my mission to gift others with the same.

You know me, now I want to know you! Contact me below to start our photographic journey together.
